Bad Taste in Back of Throat
Shane is Ryan and Travis's younger brother. She is the outsider in her town and school, especially with her name being Nova. I felt embarrassed for her, laughed with her and felt her awkardness. Very entertaining and well wrote. One part chick lit for tomboys and one part Freaks and Geeks for kids who came of age in the mid-'90s, Bad Taste In Men is loaded like a freight train with pop cultural references and crude humor. If he sounds too good to be true, he probably is. Anyone know if the roads are bad between here and Seattle right now? Side note: that cover is simply gorgeous.
He did everything to show he loved Rachel. Such the greatest array of such wonderful characters. I didn't want to rate it 3 stars because that was too low for me, so I rated it 4 stars instead. Shane and Rachel are best friends, own their own businesses, and are going to open a cafe together. What he did to help open the cafe was supposed to be his way of sweeping her off her feet. I think she's on my top list of new authors for 2014. But Shane is nothing if not persistent.
Shane is sweet, caring and also very stubborn. Rachel is Liz O'Hare's best friend and owns the failing Bookstore in town. I love how he refused to give up on Rachel no matter how frustrated he got with her stubbornness. I really had high hopes for this one. If that's your thing, please continue reading Gilmore's books.

That being said, thanks for stopping by and sorry everything sucks so bad. Shane is in love with Rachel and doesn't think she will ever overcome the just friends. Self-absorbed, selfish, over-emotional, and seriously impaired when it comes to making decisions, there is nothing attractive about Rachel. This is the second book in this series I have read and I enjoyed it so much. In my opinion — this is not a quick read but it did keep my attention throughout. Sadly, he thinks he caused his parent's divorce.

The story is great and the narration is excellent. Little does she know that he is going to sell his classic Mustang to front the cost. But, when the two become business partners will they be able to work together while their budding romance is also growing or will Rachel's worst nightmare destroy any chance of them finding happiness? The back cover is just as pretty. Another charming story by Ms Gilmore in her Clover Park series. This was completely and utterly humorous in every way. The last book went on this way for 90% of the book and I wasn't going to wait that long. I love the doodles, the teal background and how the author's name is written on a scrap of paper. The Bad Taste in Men refers to Rachel's past relationship experiences which is why she does not want to move past friendship with Shane. She doesn't like to listen to others even when they know best.
To Shane's dismay, he has been put in the category of Best Friend to Rachel. Shane runs his own ice cream parlor right across the street. At some point in the story, though, he changed his attitude and I have to say I didn't like bossy Shane much. Shane on the other hand made me glad I continued on. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Shane was just everything you could want in a hero. Shane decides to go into partnership with her and sacrifices a special possession to make her dream come true. But I could't fully get into this story because of Rachel. This is one I highly recommend. When the bank declines to give Rachel the loan for her cafe, Shane steps in with the money to make it happen. He has to figure out how to get past her stubborn quirks, they tend to get her into trouble, and find a way to let her know how much he truly cares.

I enjoyed reading about how Shane wore Rachel down. However, if you prefer female characters who behave responsibly in their relationships, you probably want to look elsewhere. This book journeys through her time dealing wi I received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review. But he ended up being my favorite! What she really wants though has been right under her nose the whole time. Shane has watched Rachel date several men and was just waiting for his time to finally make a move. Except it didn't really work that way and what ensued was a lot of push and pull between them.
